aBORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER study Grants
The Australian Dental Health Foundation and the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia (DHAA) offer up to 4 Study Grants to students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background who are undertaking a course of study that will lead to registration as a Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist.
The Grants are open to applications in April 2021. Applicants will be advised of the outcome by 30 June 2021.
Applications are reviewed by the Study Grant Review Panel appointed by the ADHF Advisory Board.
Each grant is valued at $5,000 and will include mentoring by a qualified dental hygienist during the year of the grant.
- An Australian resident and of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background
- Currently enrolled in a program of study in Australia leading to registration as a dental hygienist or an oral health therapist.
- Able to provide a reference from a representative of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander organisation.
