aBORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER study Grants

The Australian Dental Health Foundation First Nations Study Grants are available to students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background who are undertaking a course of study that will lead to registration as a Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist.

The grants offer students funding that may be used to cover costs of dental equipment, textbooks and to financially support students while they are on placements or living away from home.

Applications for the 2023 ADHF First Nations Study Grants will open on 1st March 2023. 

ELIGIBILTY

Applicants must demonstrate that they are:

  • An Australian resident and of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background
  • Currently enrolled in a program of study in Australia leading to registration as a dental hygienist or an oral health therapist.
  • Able to provide a reference from a representative of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander organisation.

FIRST NATIONS STUDY GRANT REVIEW PANEL

The Panel comprises members of the Advisory Board and may include other persons as appointed by the Board. The decision of the Panel is final and is not subject to appeal by an applicant. The ADHF reserves the right not to distribute grant monies if suitably qualified applicants cannot be found.
